Lancaster Arts launches autumn season on Ritual
Lancaster Arts is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated new season of classical concerts, theatre, dance, and performance on the theme of Ritual.
Opening the season on 28 September is classical pianist Ashley Wass, with three further concerts over the season, including returns for the Brodsky Quartet and pianist Anna Tsybuleva and an evening with soprano, Parvathi Subbiah, for her Lancaster debut.
The Nuffield Theatre will welcome Two Destination Language's joyful performance piece 40/40 on 11 October, followed by Seke Chimutengwende's It Begins In Darkness, a dance piece on the histories of slavery and colonialism that haunt the present.
Tim Crouch returns to the theatre with his provocative and exciting new solo work, Truth's a Dog Must To Kennel, dealing with ideas of virtual reality that draws on King Lear.
Closing the season is the legendary Forced Entertainment with If All Else Fails, a tangled and comical show that sees two performers engage in an absurd test.
