Over the last 50 years many artists have benefited from our support and development. Since Amy Vreeke’s initial development with us back in 2018, she has since been commissioned by Sick! Festival and Contact Theatre, Manchester to tour her show across the UK.

Creating Art Together

Bringing local communities, artists and academics together is at the core of our ethos, whether that’s presenting the world famous choreographer, Russell Maliphant alongside Professor Dame Sue Black to discuss anatomy and movement or our Kabantu commission where families and musicians created the soundtrack to the show together. Whatever the project we ensure everyone leaves inspired, excited and eager to create more!

Presenting World Class Artists

From Nicola Benedetti to the BBC Philharmonic, our concert series in the Great Hall is a rare northwest gem offering a regular world-class programme. Musicians are drawn to the warmth of our audiences and the special atmosphere and acoustics of the Great Hall. Your support helps us maintain the glorious Steinway grand piano and ensures we continue to present world class artists here in Lancaster.
