Please join us! Audition Notice
Alice Booth
Birmingham based theatre company, Stan’s Cafe and Lancaster Arts are collaborating to create an exciting outdoor production to take place in Lancaster on 15 October 2022, entitled River Tours. We are auditioning for one performer for this production.
What is River Tours?
Stan’s Cafe is building a library of textile river maps which will grow as it tours around the world. Each map is a work of art commissioned by textile artists who interpret the requirements to represent towns, bridges, dams, power stations, tributaries, and other features in their own way. A local writer writes a tour of the river. The text is performed by a local actor who acts as a ‘tour guide’. The first two rivers in the library are The Thames and The Volga. The third will be our own River Lune. Audio recordings will ensure the tours live on as the rivers continue their journey around the world.
You can find out a bit more about the project here
