Music at LANDING

Performance

LANDING will welcome two musical projects over the course of the three day event from 28-30 June at The Battery in Morecambe, both taking inspiration from your ideas of what connects you to nature.

Join More Music’s music producer Leroy Lupton for Sound Museum, a workshop of recording, sound manipulation and audio exploration, on Saturday 29 June. Share your story of “what nature means to you” and be added to our ever evolving soundscape of shared natural noises and nature chat that will then be played in The Museum of Nature and Us.

Community Musician and Choir Leader, Anni Tracy, invites you to bring your lyrical ideas for her to compose an original song on LANDING. We will be gathering your suggested lyrics relating to the natural world over the course of the LANDING weekend, and writing them on the site. They will then be collected and passed on to Anni for her composition.

There will be a rehearsal for the song at 1.30pm on Sunday 30 June, followed by the final performance to close LANDING at 3pm, with all welcome to come along and join what will undoubtedly be an uplifting and fitting end to the three days.

LANDING is a co-commission from Lancaster Arts and We Live Here, which seeks to build deeper connections between people and the natural environments around us.
