Physical Words: In this session Benji Reid will demonstrate how movement and gesture can be applied to short sections of text to form a vital theatrical language. Benji will provide a complete toolkit that will allow you to expand your range as a performer and gain a better understanding of the relationship between action and the spoken word.
Benji originally started out with Broken Glass street crew before becoming European Body-Popping champion and co-choreographer for Soul II Soul. He went on to study physical performance with expert teacher Philippe Gaulier and since then he has presented sold – out performances at the National Theatre, Sydney Opera House and PS 122 in New York. He has also performed with a range of leading companies including; Double Edge Theatre, David Glass Ensemble, Trestle Theatre and Black Mime.
