A 3-hour Masterclass : Candoco dancers will lead a professional level company class followed by teaching demanding sections from Hofesh Shechter and Nigel Charnock's new works from the company's 2008/2009 season.
Candoco is an important UK contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers. Having toured nationally and internationally for the past 17 years, this year the company performs new works by Hofesh Schechter (The Perfect Human) and Nigel Charnock (Still) - see details of their public Nuffield Theatre performance on 19 Feb 2009.
This 3-hour masterclass, hosted in association with Ludus Dance, focuses on Candoco's current repertory: Hofesh Shechter's The Perfect Human and Nigel Charnock's Still. The company will teach an afternoon of creative tasks based on the choreographer's process and working methods. This challenging session is aimed at professional dancers and more experienced dance students.
Places are strictly limited to 20, so pre-booking is strongly advised.
This masterclass takes place at Ludus Dance Studio, Assembly Room, King Street, Lancaster. The studio is fully accessible.
