The Peter Scott Gallery hosts several wonderful collections of artworks and antiquities. We are working with a number of artists to develop the idea of artistic conversations, pairing selected works with pieces from elsewhere, across styles, continents and even centuries.
What happens when devotional art is placed next to a live art performance, an ancient Japanese print next to a manga image, a Chinese scroll beside a video work?
The aim is to provide new and surprising ways to approach the works in our collections, and to use them as jumping off points for discussion about the relationship between different styles, techniques, movements and media.
