The richness of music written for two pianos is too rarely explored. The powerful combination can evoke the colours of a full orchestral palate yet with the intimacy of chamber music. Two of the UK’s most exceptional pianists, Peter Donohoe and Martin Roscoe, have been playing as a duo since their student days and are renowned for their concerts as a musical pair. They have selected an evening of outstanding repertoire for us to enjoy, including the original arrangement by Stravinsky of his electric and controversial Rite of Spring.
