Going Out, In is a virtual night out devised by comedian and theatre maker Amy Vreeke and hosted by Lancaster Arts. We are also joined by guest artists David Callanan, Josh Cannon and Rosie Schofield for this final online event in our Catalyst for Conversation series.
What happens when we attempt to virtually recreate the conventional experience of going to the theatre…minus the show itself?
We’ll begin with a discussion about live performance in the current climate before heading into breakout rooms. Here you’ll interact with fellow theatre goers and our guest artists as if you would on a virtual night out. Each room is inspired by the physical spaces of Lancaster Arts’ Box Office, Bar, Foyer…and even the toilets!
Amy will then lead an open ‘post-show’ conversation. Don’t forget to bring a cuppa, or post-show G&T if you fancy!
About Amy Vreeke
Amy Vreeke is a theatre-maker, stand up comedian and women’s health advocate based in Manchester. Amy’s unique comic style allows her to talk about the most taboo topics with a charm and frankness that leaves “audiences splitting with laughter” (North Westend). Her latest show The Year my Vagina Tried to Kill Me, originally developed at Lancaster Arts as part of our Foot in the Door programme in 2019, is due to tour for a second time in 2021.
