We have a fantastic opportunity for anyone over the age of 18 to take part in two days of workshops with the incredible Rendez-Vous Dance prior to their performance of What Songs May Do in the Nuffield Theatre. Those taking part in the workshops will be working on a piece to be performed as a curtain raiser immediately before Rendez-Vous Dance's performance on Tuesday 18 October.
The workshops will take place in the Nuffield Theatre at Lancaster University during the following times:
10am-4pm (incl. 1 hour lunch break), Saturday 15 October
9am-12pm, Sunday 16 October
The workshops are open to anyone aged 18+ of all abilities and cost just £20. Everyone who takes part will receive a free ticket to What Songs May Do.
The curtain raiser piece will be specifically created by a member of the Rendez-Vous creative team in collaboration with Lancaster Community Cast. Based around the connection in between songs and memories, the piece will be devised using movement practice as a trigger for creativity and expression. Rendez-Vous Dance are a contemporary dance company who promote dance as a wellbeing catalyst. Their practice of dance has no age, no gender, no ethnicity and doesn't require any particular skills or ability, it is open to all and easy to access.
