Common Ground is a unique evening of performance from dance artist and choreographer, Susan Kempster, featuring three pieces exploring ageing.
On the usefulness or futility of looking backwards is an intimate and immersive performance event taking us into the mind of an older woman exploring what it feels like to be ageing ungracefully. The second piece, All Parts, is a dance solo from a young man exploring the notions of isolation. Closing the trilogy is Mother, exploring connection, intimacy, and grief for something lost or the loss of something that was never there.
Susan Kempster is an award-winning choreographer and performer from Australia. Mother was commissioned by Sadlers Wells, premiering there in early 2024 ahead of coming to Lancaster.
