Following the success of our co-presentation of Fevered Sleep’s beautiful and haunting The Forest, we have teamed up with The Dukes to bring you another stunning piece of visual theatre.
Homer’s iconic tale is vividly told with beautiful illustration and masterful puppetry.
Cinematic projection and cunning tricks transform a suitcase full of cut-out paper puppets into an array of living characters and striking landscapes. The result is a silent film created before your eyes, set to a captivating live score from exceptional musicians.
Paper Cinema’s wonderful illustrations are manipulated by puppeteers in front of a live video camera and projected in real-time, to create a fragile and intricate piece of art. The company uses the language of film, animation, theatre and graphic novels to lead the viewer through varying worlds and leave them with the feeling that they’ve seen and experienced something completely unique.
Advised minimum age is 14, but younger children may enjoy the show at parent's discretion.
