Three community music orchestras from across the North fill the Great Hall stage, performing their own individual repertoires of contemporary Jazz and global Folk music, then joining forcesto create an ecstatic, rocket-powered sixty-piece orchestra,conducted by music leaders and soloists RICHARD ORMROD and DAVE SHOOTER.
Featuring talented amateur musicians from Lancashire and Yorkshire,a suite of vibrant, accessable pieces specially arranged for all three ensembles, enthusiastic direction and dynamic, impassioned solos, this debut multi-orchestra performance promises to be just the beginning of exciting transpennine community collaborations.
