Simone Kenyon discusses her work in relation to themes of Environment | Landscape, as part of the Peter Scott Galley & Fine Art Department's Tuesday Talks series.
Four works by Kenyon are displayed in the exhibition which accompanies Tuesday Talks. The exhibition and talks programme are part of a wider programme of exhibitions, events and knowledge-exchange in the Peter Scott Gallery, titled Change & Interchange.

Simone Kenyon
Simone is a UK based artist, dancer and producer. She creates works that encompass dance and somatic practices, environment, ecology, walking arts, participatory events and workshops for both urban and rural contexts.
Her solo work explores walking as a choreographic practice, sensory experiences and our perceptions of environments. She has a wide breadth of knowledge and skills informing how she creates work for and with specific places and people. This includes facilitating a running workshops for her own research projects and for other artists and organisations.
She often works in collaboration with other artists and specialists, including her work with dance artists Neil Callaghan. Their recent works have been shown at Fierce Festival, Birmingham, The Hayward Gallery and Sadlers Wells, London and has toured internationally in China with Forest Fringe. They are currently part of the Siobhan Davies, Dance Artist/ Curator mentor Scheme.
Simone studied dance and visual arts at Nottingham Trent. She spent a number of years working as a performer and maker for other dance and theatre companies including with Deer Park ,Uninvited Guests, Girl Jonah/ Fiona Wright, Francisco Camacho (Portugal) and Reckless Sleepers amongst others.
