Christopher Stewart grew up in what he refers to as the disciplinary class - individuals that are connected to police and military cultures. He has continually been drawn towards subject matters that explores the performance of masculinity, military rehearsal, hierarchical power structures and the ever present intersection of the natural world.
Working primarily with photography, moving image and sound his work is currently on display on campus in Lancaster Arts’ Peter Scott Gallery as part of our group exhibition Swoop, Swirl, Swarm in the Peter Scott Gallery until 6 December.
